This week’s #WorkingWoman is: Bethany Gardner, CEO of Sumo Bonnets
Title of business: Sumo Bonnets
Sumo Bonnets creates luxury, large “sumo-sized” sleep and shower caps for women with natural and or curly hair. Sumo Bonnets is the culmination of many of my loves- sewing, haircare, entrepreneurship, and marketing. More importantly, it helps me help other women to become more fully themselves by taking the best possible care they can of their hair, whether they were born with it or they bought it. Feeling good about our hair helps us feel good about ourselves, and when we feel good about ourselves, we can move mountains!
Bethany, on what being a #WorkingWoman means to her:
Just about all women work, but I feel like only some are “working it”, meaning that they are juggling a lot of responsibilities while trying to achieve success. It is not easy, but I feel like putting in the hard work now, will pay generous dividends in the future.
Bethany, on knowing her worth?
I feel that when women embrace their authentic selves, they truly begin to know their value. I believe that providing women with the tools to take care of themselves, along with helping them feel beautiful that I play a role in this process.
